Attorney Carl Woodard of Dansville, MI; ethical leprechaun

The state of Michigan provided Carl M. Woodard with a law license in 1985.

The Discipline Board of Ingham County Hearing Panel #2 found Carl guilty of the following misconduct.

Carl was hired to represent five separate clients, four in divorce matters and one in an adoption case.
  1. Failed to act with due diligence
  2. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  3. Failed to communicate with clients
  4. Collected or charged a clearly illegal or excessive fee
  5. Failed to safeguard client property
  6. Failed to withdraw from representation when required
  7. Failed to expedite litigation
  8. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  9. Knowingly assisted or induced another to violate Rules of Conduct
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary two-year period of probation.

As we speak (ca. August 2013) Carl continues to practice in the Dansville, Michigan area.
