In one matter, Leo filed a lawsuit Lake County on behalf of a client. Subsequently, Leo settled the case for $300,000 and deposited the funds into his trust account. He then paid $160,000 to the client and paid himself $100,000 in fees. After paying various medical bills on the client’s behalf, Leo owed the client $39,196.70.

Even though Leo placed the entire $300,000 into a trust account, at various time the account reached as low as $664.47.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Leo by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2013), Leo practices with Leo J. Talikka Co. LPA at 10 West Erie Street in Painesville, Ohio.
