Attorney Alexander Adusei, Jr. of Columbus, OH; ethical dwarf

The state of Ohio presented Alexander Yaw Adusei, Jr. with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Capitol University Law School located in Columbus, Ohio.
The Columbus Bar Association found Kirk guilty of the following misconduct.
Collected an illegal or clearly excessive fee (crook)
Failed to reduce contingent-fee agreement to writing as required by the rules
In one matter, Alex represented various family members of decedent Joseph Addai in matters involving his death and estate.
Shortly after Addai’s death, his niece and nephew, along with two members of Addai's village in Ghana, approached Alexander to discuss issues involving Addai's death and estate. They discussed the possibility of returning Addai’s body to Ghana and legal issues related to Addai’s death.
Subsequently, Alexander learned that Addai had a life insurance policy valued at $23,816 payable to Mrs. Addai as sole beneficiary. Alexander then met with Mrs. Addai and had her execute a power of attorney in his favor. Alexander later received the life insurance proceeds of $24,005. Of that amount, Alexander retained $7,957 as his fee, which he wasn’t lawfully entitled to because he failed to provide Mrs. Addai with a written contingent-fee agreement as required by the Rules of Professional Conduct.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. August 2013), Alex practices with the Adusei Law Group LLC at 2928 Poolside Drive in Columbus, Ohio.
