Attorney Richard Gordon of Hartford, CT; cheater

The state of New Jersey presented Richard C. Gordon with a law license in 2000.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Richard guilty of the following misconduct.

Richard failed to notify prior counsel, who had an interest in a legal fee that Richard would recover when he settled a client’s case, of the settlement of the case and receipt of settlement funds.

Put simply, Richard was of the mind that “it’s all about me” in screwing the other attorney out of the fees he was lawfully entitled too.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. August 2013) Richard practices at 83 Oak Street in Hartford, Connecticut.
