The state of Florida presented Robert E. McCall with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School.
The Florida State Bar found Robert guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Robert’s failure to follow-up on a client’s filing of an emergency medical request with the Social Security Administration resulted in the client alleging that she had accumulated more than $300,000 in medical bills that may have been eligible had her disability claim been pending as Robert had repeatedly assured her it had been.
In another matter, a client hired Robert to file an appeal in a disability case. She spoke with Robert’s office staff regarding the case and provided updates on her condition. The client later learned that her file was closed with Social Security and no appeal had been filed by Robert.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits in Florida sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Robert by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. July 2013) Robert practices at 1515 Elizabeth Street in Melbourne, Florida.
