The state of Connecticut provided David J. Preleski with a law license in 1989.
 
The Statewide Grievance Committee found David guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  2. Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
  3. Failed to act with candor when dealing with trial court
  4. Made untruthful (lied) to others
  5. Knowingly violated or attempt violate Rules of Conduct by assisting or inducing another to do so
In one matter, David represented Lori Tabacco and her husband Robert. Subsequently, David entered into business arrangements with Lori and Robert without advising them to seek independent advice.
 
After Lori and Robert became estranged, David found it acceptable to assist Robert to have Lori removed from her position as secretary of a company in which they both had an interest. David also engaged in other conduct that clearly favored Robert to the disadvantage of Lori.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished David by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
As we speak (ca. July 2013) Joseph practices at 135 West Street in Bristol, Connecticut.
