Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
Unfortunately, the state of North Carolina presented Phil Berger with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School. It is fairly obvious that Phil learned the art of spewing forth hyperbole (BS) while attending Wake Forest.
In 1999, Phil succeeded in duping the voters into electing him as a member of the North Carolina State Senate. As we speak (ca. July 2013), Phil is now the leader of the Republican controlled Senate in North Carolina.
After the US Supreme Court struck down a portion of the Voting Right Act, Phil introduced a new and tougher Voter ID bill. The new bill does not permit the use of college IDs as acceptable voter ID. Wouldn’t want to make it easy for any of those liberal leaning students attending UNC, Duke, Western Carolina or Appalachian State to cast a vote for a Democratic candidate in 2016, right Phil Baby?
Phil and his fellow Morons also intend on ending early voting, Sunday voting and same day registration because it certainly helped Obama to carry North Carolina in 2008.
Phil falsely claims that the new Voter ID bill will “Curtails the questions of voter fraud by folks on both sides of the aisle and helps ensure every white candidate, I’m sorry, every candidate wins or loses on his or her own merits.”
Trust me folks, if Phil had his way, North Carolina would require those folks (wink, wink) to again have to correctly name the amount of marbles in a gallon jar in order to qualify to vote.
Of course Phil the Bullshitter has yet to provide any real voter fraud. And that’s because their ain’t none!
If Phil was a man of courage rather than a “closet bigot,” he’d readily admit that his aim is to suppress the vote of African-Americans, Latinos, college students and anyone else who might tend to vote for a Democratic candidate in 2016.
Congrats Johnny; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Most Disrespected “Bullshitters”; you are far too humble.
