Attorney Brenda Williams of Flint, MI; ethical dwarf

The state of Michigan provided Brenda Renee Williams with a law license in 1984 after she graduated from Thomas A. Cooley Law School.

The Genesee County Attorney Discipline Board, haring panel #3 hearing found Brenda guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Brenda was hired to investigate a woman’s cause of death, and to represent the interests of the decedent’s two sisters and three sons in her estate. Brenda requested an received a $1,000 retainer fee to proceed with the employment.

Brenda then failed to file an appearance with the court on her clients’ behalf or to take any action in the probate court to advance their interests in the estate. Brenda also failed to obtain any medical records concerning the cause of death for use in investigating this issue on behalf of her clients.

Brenda also failed to inform her clients of her inaction or to respond to numerous inquires from them concerning the status of the legal matter.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Randall by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2013) Brenda practices at 2000 North Saginaw Street in Flint, Michigan.
