Attorney Steven Merritt of Haverhill, MA; convicted abuser 
The state of Massachusetts presented Steven R. Merritt with a law license in 2000.
The Board of Bar Overseers found Steven guilty of the following misconduct.
Steven was convicted of an abuse prevention order, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (glass shard) upon a pregnant woman, and malicious destruction of property valued over $400.
Steven was sentenced to four years of privation with conditions that included completion of a batterer’s program.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Steven by gifting him with a complimentary two-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. July 2013) Steven practices at 71 Summer Street in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
It must be comforting to the folks in Haverhill to know that there is yet another convicted criminal practicing law in their area compliments of the comedians sitting on the Massachusetts Board of Overseers.
