Attorney Margaret Melican of Worcester, MA; moronic bully

The state of Massachusetts presented Margaret N. Melican with a law license in 1975 after she graduated from Suffolk University Law School.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Margaret guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Margaret represented a contractor who was sued by the plaintiffs for poor construction of their home, which resulted in the district court ruling for the plaintiffs and entering a judgment for $81,240.5 3 against Margaret’s clients.

Subsequently, Margaret entered into negotiations with the plaintiff’s attorney in an attempt to forgo their foreclosure of his client’s home. After negotiations had broken down, Margaret discovered that one of the plaintiff’s had filed a lawsuit against a former lover to enjoin her from filing false reports with criminal authorities alleging that he had raped and sexually abused her.

Margaret then sent a letter to plaintiff’s counsel threatening to include the false allegations of rape and sexual abuse in a new motion to be filed with the court if the plaintiff’s didn’t agree to stop the foreclosure action and negotiate a settlement.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Margaret by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2013) Margaret practices at 340 Main Street in Worcester, Massachusetts.
