Attorney Robert Wick of Rochester, MI; ethical misfit

The state of Michigan provided Robert F. Wick with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

Wayne County Attorney Discipline Board, Hearing Panel #22 found Randall guilty of the following misconduct.

Robert was hired in two criminal appeal matters. Robert advised the client that he would not continue to prosecute the appeals unless at least a port  of his fees were paid and funds provided to him to purchase transcripts of the criminal trials.

Robert essentially did nothing to resolve the dilemma and, as a consequence, the two appeals were left in a state of limbo. As a result of the client’s own initiative, the court declared the client to be indigent and was appointed counsel.

Robert had a duty to either prosecute the two appeals or to move the court to have his client declared an indigent and ask the court to be removed as counsel in the matter.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Randall by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2013) Robert practices at 120 Wilcox Street in Rochester, Michigan
