Rep. John Boehner (R-OH): Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. John Boehner (R-FL)
Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Johnny has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-eight (28) years.

In January 2011, Johnny succeeded in duping members of the House of Representatives into electing him Speaker of the House. It is undisputed that Johnny has proven to be one of the most unsuccessful Standup Comedians to ever hold the post of Speaker of the House since Frederick Muhlenberg first held the office in 1789.

On June 18, 2013, Johnny allowed for a vote to be taken on banning abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy and making such conduct a felony.

Prior to the vote being taken, Johnny the Comic put forth the following one-liner:

“I believe it will pass with a broad bipartisan majority.”

Of the 18 democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee that voted to send the abortion legislation to the floor, not even one voted to support the bill.

The final vote on the legislation was 228 for and 196 against. Of the 228 vote in favor only 6 were democrats. For anyone, including a celebrated comedian like Johnny to argue that 6 votes out of 228 actually constitutes “a broad bipartisan majority” is clearly nuts.

Congrats Johnny; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Most Underappreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
