Attorney James Speros of Washington, D.C.; lying loser
The state of Ohio presented James Mandamadiotis Speros with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School in Cleveland.
The Lake County Bar Association found James guilty of the following misconduct
Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
Knowingly made a false statement of law or fact in the representation of a client
In one matter, James represented Judge Dennis Callahan of the Willoughby Municipal court that was then before the Eleventh District Court of Appeals.
Subsequently, James filed a Motion to Reinstate the Appeal of Judge Callahan. In support of the motion, James prepared an affidavit and signed it as “affiant” and also signed thereto the name of A. Lynne Timpeiro as “notary.” At that time, Ms. Timpeiro was employed as a secretary by James’ law firm. James did not have Ms. Timpeiro’s permission to sign her name as “notary” on the motion to reinstate.
James’ affidavit contained information that he absolutely knew was false, misleading, incorrect and inaccurate in that it falsely suggested to the Court of Appeals that his failure to file a brief in the case in a timely manner was the result of clerical error rather than negligence on his part.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished James by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. July 2013), James is employed as a special assistant with the Department of Veteran Affairs, Office of the Secretary in Washington, D.C.
