Attorney Jesse Gilsdorf of Mt. Sterling, IL; ethical misfit  The state of Illinois presented Jesse R. Gilsdorf with a law license in 1994.
The Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ADRC) found Jesse guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Jesse was hired by Angela Fulmer of Pittsfield, Illinois after she was charged with delivery of a controlled substance following an investigation by the West Central Illinois Task Force. Angela was filmed selling hydrocodone (Oxycontin) to a confidential source.
Jesse believed the video did not show Angela selling drugs and posted it on YouTube. He named the video “Cops and Task Force Planting Drugs. Shortly thereafter, Judge Michael Roseberry ordered Jesse to remove the video from YouTube.
Jesse said he paid a Quincy, Illinois company to post the video on his client’s behalf to show her innocence. Subsequently, Jesse admitted that the video did show Angela selling drugs.
Angela denied that she had anything to do with having the video posted on YouTube. She later accepted a plea agreement and was sentenced to 24 months of probation.
The Commission ruled that Jesse engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice and conduct which tends bring the courts into disrepute.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Commission recommended to the Illinois Supreme Court that Jesse receive a complimentary 5-month suspension of his law license.
All that’s left is to wait and see what the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court will do in regards to punishing Jesse.
