Attorney Joseph Viney of Baraboo, WI; Dumbo, repeat offender

The state of Wisconsin presented Joseph L. Viney with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Joseph guilty of the following misconduct

In one matter, Joe was hired to represent a client in a collections matter. Joey failed to inform the client that the case he filed on his behalf was dismissed by the trial court due to his incompetence and negligence.
  1. Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  2. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  3. Failed to cooperate with bar investigators (Up Yours, said Joey!)
  4. Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
  5. Failed to respond to client inquiries
As one would suspect, this wasn’t Joey’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand from the comedians sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Courts punished Joseph by gifting him with a second (2nd) complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2013), Joseph practices with Viney & Viney in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
