Attorney David Groom of Portland, OR; ethical misfit, repeater

The state of Oregon provided David E. Groom with a law license in 1978.

The Oregon State Bar found David guilty of the following misconduct

  1. Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  2. Intentionally failed to carry out contract of employment
  3. Knowingly violated a court order
  4. Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  5. Unlawfully practiced law while his law license was suspended
  6. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  7. Failed to take reasonable steps to avoid foreseeable prejudice to his clients
  8. Failed to disclose information concerning status of clients’ cases
  9. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  10. Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  11. David knew his clients (victims) were vulnerable because they were incarcerated

As one would suspect, this wasn’t David’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 30-day suspension from the comedians sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished David by gifting him with another (2nd) complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2013) David practices at 714 SW 20th Place in Portland, Oregon.
