Attorney Richard Buckley of Weston, FL; ethical leprechaun 
The state of Florida presented Richard Allen Buckley with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from South Texas Law College.
The Florida Bar found Richard guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Richard represented Alexandra Perez in litigation between Mrs. Perez and Waterways Joint Venture. Richard Davenport, an owner of Waterways filed an ethics complaint against Buckley after the litigation between Mrs. Perez and Waterways was instituted.
The primary issue in the lawsuit was the Affidavit and Notice of Interest in Property, which was drafted by Buckley and executed by Mrs. Perez and recorded in the Collier County recording office. The affidavit said:
“The affidavit shall serve notice to the public that Alexandra Perez has an interest in the property until released by the Affiant [Mrs. Perez] and her husband.”
The State Bar concluded that Buckley’s preparation and filing of said Affidavit and Notice was frivolous, without legal basis, and/or designed to exert unjustifiable pressure on Waterways by precluding the sale of the property to a new buyer.
Subsequently, the Collier County trial court granted Waterway’s Emergency Motion to Discharge the Affidavit and Notice.
The Bar ruled that in filing the shame affidavit with the court, that Buckley engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. May 2013) Richard practices at 1820 North Corporate Lakes Blvd in Weston, Florida.
