Attorney Andrew Witherell of Wilmington, DE; tax cheat

The state of Delaware presented Andrew J. Witherell with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Widener University Law School.

The Delaware Supreme court found Andrew guilty of the following misconduct.

Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

Andrew found it acceptable to misrepresent (lie) about the status of his law firm’s books and records to the Delaware Supreme Court by failing to timely file and pay federal, state and local income taxes for two years.

Andrew also misrepresented (lied) to the Supreme Court the status of his obligation to file and pay federal, state and local taxes for a three year period of time.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Andrew by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2013) Andrew practices at 100 East 14th Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
