Ken Cuccinelli (R-VA): Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

In November 2009, Ken succeeded in duping the voters in Virginia into electing him as their state Attorney General. Previously, he was a State Senator from 2002 thru 2009.

Kenny has dedicated the majority of his time in public office supporting screwy legislation. Gay folks are one of Kenney’s favorite targets. Put simply, Kenny is a die-in-the-wool homophobe!

In 2003, the U.S. Supreme Court in Lawrence v. Texas ruled that ant-sodomy laws in Texas were unconstitutional. Of course this meant that this was now the law of the land; however, Screwy Kenny wasn’t impressed.

In early April 2013, Kenny filed an appeal with the U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals asking the full 15-judge court to reconsider a decision by a three-judge appellate panel that overturned Virginia’s sodomy law as being unconstitutional based on the Lawrence v. Texas Supreme Court ruling.

As expected, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals told Kenny the Homophobe to take a hike when it dismissed his asinine appeal.

Recently, Kenny announced that he is running to be Virginia’s next governor. On his self-serving election website, Kenny has the chutzpah to state: “As Attorney General, he has become best known for his efforts to preserve liberty and defend the U.S. Constitution.”

Of course the U.S. Constitution is irrelevant when it comes to Kenny’s refusal to accept the Lawrence v Texas ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court. Put simply, Screwy Kenny doesn’t much give a damn about the U.S. Constitution when it comes to protecting the liberty rights of gay folks.

The most disturbing aspect of Kenny’s frivolous conduct is the fact that Virginia taxpayers got hosed in being forced to pay for this absurd exercise.

Hopefully, the voters in Virginia will wise up and not vote for Kenny the Loser as their next Governor!

Congrats Kenny; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
