Attorney Victor Brigner of Dayton, OH; unethical loser

The State of Ohio presented Victor Michael Brigner with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Northern Kentucky University Law School,

Victor’s Judicial Campaign Misconduct

During his campaign for a judgeship, Victor found it acceptable to provide misleading and/or false information to the voters.

Victor’s campaign distributed a fundraising letter that included statements that his opponent had never handled a divorce case and was a novice who lacked even one day of domestic relations experience. An enclosure distributed with the letter obtained a chart contrasting Victor’s experience and that of his opponent in the filed of domestic relations (family) law.

Of course it was proven that Victor’s fundraising letter was misleading and inaccurate in regards to his opponents qualifications and experience. Fortunately, the voters weren’t fooled by Victor’s hyperbolic (BS) statements and he lost the election.

Victor improperly billing State for travel expenses

At about the same time he was lying about his opponents qualifications for a judgeship, Victor was appointed by the Ohio Supreme Court as a member of the Standard Forms Committee. During his time on the committee, Victor found it convenient to bill the state for mileage and meals that he was not lawfully entitled too.

Victor billed the state $800.80 to attend a so-called seminar in Newton Massachusetts, which is 9 miles of downtown Boston. Victor had the chutzpah to bill the state $55 for 4 roundtrips for mileage to drive a rental car from his hotel in Newton to the site of the seminar. Of course this is illegal since Victor wasn’t lawfully entitled to any mileage reimbursements since he wasn’t driving his personal vehicle.

Victor also billed the state $33.62 for meals even though the seminar had ended. And lastly, Victor also tried to screw the taxpayers by billing the state $8.00 for tip to the parking garage attendant. Fortunately, for the taxpayers of Ohio, the accounting department of the Ohio Supreme Court refused to reimburse Victor for these illegal claims.

Sinclair Community College must be awfully hard up for teachers to have employed someone of Victor’s ilk to chair its paralegal program. I suppose Sinclair can take comfort in knowing that Victor is experienced in lying when running for judicial office and also in attempting to defraud the state by claiming sham travel expenses.

As we speak (ca. April 2013), Victor is employed as a professor at Sinclair Community College at 444 West Third Street in Dayton, Ohio.
