The state of California provided Ilse Marie Butterfield with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from California Western Law College in San Diego, which is a 3rd tier
The State Bar Court found Ilse guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Ilse represented a client in a maritime law matter. After she prepared a document for the client’s signature, she signed (forged) the document herself and submitted it to the trial court.
At her deposition, the client testified that she didn’t sign the document, but Ilse said she did sign it. Else later falsely told the trial court that her client had signed the document.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Ilse by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.
As we speak (ca. Mayl 2013) Ilse practices at 1380 A Street in Hayward, California, which is in the San Francisco Bay area.
