Attorney David Clark of Hickory, NC; degenerate liar

 
The state of North Carolina presented David Shawn Clark with a law license in 1997.
 
The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar charged David with the following misconduct
  1. Made a materially false statement to a trial court
  2. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  3. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  4. Engaged in a conflict of interest
  5. Filed a frivolous lawsuit that was not based on fact
  6. Intentionally revealed client confidences
  7. Knowingly made a materially false statement to a disciplinary authority
In one mater, David represented Tiffany Turnmire in a domestic matter involving her estranged husband, Timothy Turnmire. David previously represented Tiffany in a custody dispute matter. At all time during his representation of Tiffany, she was still married to Timothy.
 
During his representation of Tiffany, David engaged in sexual relations with her, which Timothy discovered several months later. Timothy then filed a lawsuit against David for alienation of affection. This led to David and his wife filing a lawsuit against Tiffany and Timothy. In his lawsuit against the Tiffany and Timothy, David made the following allegations:
  • Tiffany attested to an affidavit wherein she falsely stated she had a sexual relationship with David
  • Tiffany produced or participated in the production of fabricated emails between Tiffany and David, which contained false, misleading and defamatory statements about David
  • Plaintiff David Clark has never had a sexual relationship with Tiffany
  • Tiffany was involuntarily committed due to Major Depressive Disorder stemming from the constant physical abuse she received from Timothy
  • At one time, Tiffany tested positive for cocaine
Subsequently, David and his wife voluntarily dismissed their sham lawsuit against Tiffany. In his response to the State Bar, David denied he had a sexual relationship with Tiffany; however the evidence proved his denial was patently false.
 
All that’s left now is for the North Carolina Supreme Court to determine the punishment that David will receive for her egregious misconduct
 
As we speak (ca. March 2013) David continues to practice in the Hickory, North Carolina area.
