Attorney Thomas Shannon of Grosse Pointe, MI; repeat offender

The state of Michigan presented Thomas James Shannon with a law license in 1983.

Tri-County Hearing Panel #4 found Thomas guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  2. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  3. Failed to seek lawful objectives of his client
  4. Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
  5. Failed to comply with client’s reasonable requests for information
  6. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  7. Engaged in conduct exposing legal profession to contempt
  8. Engaged in conduct contrary to justice
As one would suspect this wasn’t Tommy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand and a two-year suspension of his law license, respectively, for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Board punished Thomas by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2013), Thomas practices with the Law Offices of Thomas James Shannon & Associates at 719 Fisher Road in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
