The state of Delaware presented David S. Shamers with a law license in 1992.
 
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found David guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to maintain financial books/records in accordance with the Rules for five (5) consecutive years
  2. Failed to properly supervise his wife/bookkeeper for six (6) consecutive years
  3. Failed to safeguard client funds
  4. Failed to designate client escrow account
  5. Failed to file and pay personal income taxes for three (3) years
  6. Failed to accurately report tax filing deficiencies in his Supreme Court Certificates of Compliance for three (3) years
Due to the gross mismanagement of David’s financial records, over $12,000 of client funds was known to have been missing from Dave’s escrow account. Dave’s negligence and gross incompetence led to his nephew embezzling $3,000 for his escrow account.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished David by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.
 
As we speak (ca. March 2013) David practices at 1210 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware.
