Attorney Henry Lafont, Jr. of Larose, LA; ethical dwarf

The state of Louisiana presented Henry J. Lafont, Jr. with a law license in 21979.

In one matter, Henry represented Robert M. Bone regarding a charge of second degree murder. Henry advised Bone that it was in his best interest to plead guilty, show remorse, and sever the State prosecution expenses.

Henry also advised Bone that he could obtain a letter of no comment from the DA at the time of commutation even though he never provided such a letter. Before and after the guilty plea Frank advised Bone and his mother that the letter of no comment existed and was forthcoming, when in fact no such letter existed.

Henry further advised Bone that if pled guilty, that his chances of having his life sentence reduced would be greater, and that he would likely spent 17 years in prison if the life sentence was commuted. Henry did not inform the trial court during the guilty plea process that he had provided said advise to Bone, and he allowed Bone to make inaccurate representations during the guilty plea process.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Henry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2013) Henry practices at 13044 West Main Street in Larose, Louisiana.
