Attorney Venal Adams of West Palm Beach; ethical gremlin

The state of Florida presented Venal C. Adams with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School.

The Florida Bar found Venal guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
  2. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  3. Engaged in conduct contrary to honesty or justice
In one matter, Venal notarized the signatures of the grantors on two quit claim deeds, which were then recorded in the public records of Indian River County, Florida. The grantors on both deeds were listed as Hugh C. Turner and Leroy Turner

The granted on both deeds was WXM Development LLC (WXM), an entity formed by Venal. At one point in time, Venal became the resident agent and managing partner of WSM.

Although Venal acted as the notary on both deeds, the deeds were not signed or acknowledged in his presence. The notarization stating that the grantors “personally appeared” before Venal and “acknowledged” before hi that they “executed the same freely and voluntarily for the purposes expressed herein” was false or fraudulent when, in fact the grantors did not appear before Venal and did not acknowledge anything before him.

Moreover, according to Hugh Turner, one of the deeds was brought to him by Dennis Jones, Venal’s employee, and he then signed his own name as well as his brother’s name to that deed in the presence of Jones.

Although Natburn Harrison was listed as a witness on both deeds, he was not present as a witness. Harrison is a friend and business associate of Venal.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Venal by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2013) Venal practices at 10130 Northlake Blvd in West Palm Beach, Florida.
