Attorney John McCarthy of Stoughton, MA; ethical elf

The Massachusetts Supreme Court presented John J. McCarthy with a law license in 1991.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Paula guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, John wrote a check for $132 from his trust account to pay a bill for a title examination. At the time, there were no client funds on deposit in that account. When the check was presented for payment, it bounced because there was less than $100 in the account. When the same check was presented for payment again, it was dishonored (bounced) for the second time.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Johnny’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. John previously received a complimentary admonition for neglecting a client’s two personal injury cases and for failing to adequately communicate with his client (victim).

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished John by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (March 2013) John practices at 1044 Central Street in Stoughton, Massachusetts
