Attorney Shirley McDermott-Lundin of Wilmington, DE; ethical misfit

The state of Delaware presented Valerie Fox with a law license in 1987.

The Delaware Supreme court found Shirley guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failing to provide competent representation (Dufus)
  2. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
  3. Failed to keep clients informed of the status of their legal matters
  4. Failed to explain matter necessary to permit client to make informed decisions re: representation
  5. Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon being discharged
  6. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  7. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
As a consequence of his misconduct, apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Shirley by gifting her with a complimentary 2-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Shirley practices in the Wilmington, Delaware area.
