Attorney Stephen Kulig of Danielson, CT; repeat offender

The state of Connecticut provided Stephen T. Kulig with a law license in 1986.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Stephen guilty of the following misconduct.

Stephen’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In one matter, Stephen was hired to perform a title search. Stephen was also asked t o confirm lien amounts and to obtain pay-off figures relative to liens on the property.

Subsequently, the client contacted Stephen’s office on numerous occasions for information regarding the matter; however, Stephen failed to respond.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Stephen by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

In one matter, Stephen was hired to represent a client in regards to the purchase of Athens Pizza Rest. Inc. The client specifically advised Stephen that he wanted to close the deal quickly. The client also advised Stephen that the seller’s liquor license was going to expire in about 90 days and that he needed to file an application to transfer the license to the client.

Due to Stephen’s negligence, his client was unable to obtain a liquor license for several months while operating the restaurant he had just purchased. Bottom line, the client was prohibited from selling liquor which clearly caused him significant financial losses.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Stephen by gifting him with his second complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Stephen practices with Brigham & Kulig at 69 Broad Street in Danielson, Connecticut.
