Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX); Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

The state of Texas presented Rafael Edward R. “Ted” Cruz with a law license in 1997 after he graduated magna scum laude from Harvard Law School.

In November 2012, Ted succeeded in duping the voters in Texas into electing him to the U.S. Senate.

Ted recently decided to use Obama’s nomination of Sen. Chuck Hagel as Secretaries Of Defense as a tool to further prove his bona fides as a Certified Screwball. Ted was also following in the steps of his fellow screwball Sen. Joe McCarthy.

At a confirmation hearing for Sen. Hagel, Ted falsely accused Hagel of being unpatriotic in alleging he had received $200,000 directly from North Korea. Screwy Ted also accused Hagel of being cozy with Iran because Iran had expressed support for Hagel’s nomination.

Of course Teddy didn’t have any actual evidence to support his slanderous comments, something one would think he learned was necessary while attending Harvard Law School. Of course this is the same type of slander that emanated from the foul mouth of Sen. McCarthy, who also knew better since he also attended law school (Marquette University).

What is disturbing about Ted’s foul-mouthed diatribe is that Sen. Hagel is a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War who was awarded two Purple Hearts. Teddy was born in 1970, therefore, he was age-eligible to serve in the Iraq War, which of course he never did.

Teddy is nothing more than a miserable coward who finds it acceptable to attack the patriotism of a Vietnam veteran who honorably served his country in an overt effort to promote himself. Hopefully, the good folks in Texas will tell Screwy Ted to take a hike when he comes up for reelection.

And lastly, it is difficult to believe that some in the GOP are actually trumpeting Teddy as a candidate for the presidency in 2016. I’m sure the Democrats would be more than happy to have someone of Teddy’s ilk (FYI: Teddy, ILK is not defined as a female Elk) to run against in 2016.

Congrats Ted; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most disrespected Screwballs; you are far too humble.
