Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner
Indiana State Rep. Peggy Mayfield succeeded in duping the voters in the Martinsville, Indiana area into electing her to represent them in the Indiana State legislature.
Indiana is another Screwball Republican who is intent on denying the right to vote to anyone that she and t hose of her ilk believes will vote for a Democrat.
In a lame effort to cement her status as a Certified Screwball, Peggy recently proposed legislation (Indiana House Bill 1311) that would prohibit college students who pay out-of-state tuition from voting in Indiana. Of course Peggy’s asinine legislation is blatantly unconstitutional; a fact fully recognized by anyone with an I.Q. over 65.
It’s difficult to imagine how someone could actually get elected to the State legislature in any State and be as totally ignorant of voting laws as is the case with Screwy Peggy.
What is really galling is Peggy’s hyperbolic (BS) claims to be a fiscal conservative. Of course this is pure bunk given her willingness to waste the taxpayer’s money by proposing legislation that fails to pass the involuntary laugh test.
Congrats Peggy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most disrespected Screwballs; you are far too humble.
