Attorney Charles Weninger of Tucson; repeat offender

The state of Arizona presented Charles L. Weninger with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Charles guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Charles’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

Charles was hired by a client in a personal injury matter. After the lawsuit was filed, Charles allowed the case to be placed on the court’s inactive calendar. Thereafter, Charles did virtually nothing on his client’s case.

As a consequence of Charles’ gross negligence and incompetence, the statute of limitations expired, which left his client without the ability to ever obtain relief on his personal injury case.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Charles by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

In one matter, Charles failed to file a response to a motion for entry of a default judgment against his client. As a result of his gross ignorance and negligence, the trial court granted the default judgment against his client. As usual for Charles, he failed to advise his client that his case was tossed because of his gross incompetence.

In another matter, Charles visited with a client only once and then failed to adequately communicate with him for approximately thirteen (13) months. The client (victim) made repeated requests for information from Charles, all of which Charles ignored.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Charles by gifting him with another (2nd) complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Charles practices at 70 West Franklin Street in Tucson, Arizona.
