Attorney Joseph Gabay of Wilmington, DE; ethical goblin

The state of Delaware presented Joseph A. Gabay with a law license in 1987.

The Delaware Supreme court found Joseph guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to promptly deliver funds belonging to client
  2. Failed to take reasonable steps to disburse funds held in escrow for payment to third party
  3. Failed to properly maintain and preserve escrow account records
  4. Failed to perform monthly reconciliation of trust accounts
  5. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  6. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  7. Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  8. Failed to timely respond to ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Joey!)
As one would suspect, this wasn’t Joseph’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misconduct Apple Tree. He previously received two private admonitions for failing to provide competent representation (moron) and for failing to act with due diligence (slacker).

As a consequence of his misconduct, apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Joseph by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Joseph practices with the Law Office of Joseph Gabay at 901 Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
