Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
Senator Graham likes to unashamedly portray himself as a maverick. Several days ago, the self-proclaimed maverick joined seven other senators in supporting a framework for comprehensive immigration reform.
However, in an ongoing effort to further establish his bona fides as one of America’s Premier Bullshitters, Lindsey went on to threaten to kill any legislation that includes protections for same-sex couples by telling reporters “Why don’t we just put legalized abortion in there and round it out.”
One need not qualify as a mental giant to understand why Lindsey felt compelled to spew forth his gratuitous comments about same-sex couples. The reason for doing so was to assuage the screwballs in the Tea Party that he fears may support a challenge to him in his next run for the senate.
It is easy to discern that when Lindsey is cheerfully involved in putting forth his usual dose of bullshit that he isn’t telling the truth, and that’s because he’s an attorney (Univ. of South Carolina Law School – 1981). Therefore, since his lips were moving, we can be assured he wasn’t speaking the truth.
It is indeed sad that many of our so-called public servants find it acceptable to attack various groups in order to ingratiate themselves with the nutcases that are biased against gays, African-Americans, Latinos, Arab-Americans, Asians and/or any other minority group.
Congrats Lindsey; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most disrespected Bullshitters; you are far too humble.
