The state of Arizona presented E. Bernard Buffenstein with a law license in 1984after being educated in Cape Town, South Africa.
 
The Arizona State Bar found E. Bernard guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
  1. Wrote check on insufficient fund account (rubber)
  2. Commingled client funds with personal funds
  3. Failed to keep individual client ledger cards or duplicate deposit slips
  4. Failed to place complete information in his check register and on his checks
  5. Engaged in bad faith obstruction of disciplinary proceeding (Up Yours, said Bernard!)
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished E. Bernard by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
 
As we speak (ca. January 2013) E. Bernard continues to practice in the Cave Creek, Arizona area.
