Attorney Michael Carragher of Globe, AZ; serial offender

 
The state of Arizona presented Michael A. Carragher with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Arizona State University Law School.
 
The Arizona State Bar found Michael guilty of engaging in misconduct on several occasions as set forth below.
 
Michael’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 1998
  1. Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  2. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  3. Failed to maintain proper client trust account records
  4. Failed to provide client with proper account of client funds
  5. Failed to promptly pay funds belonging to client to the client
  6. Commingled client funds with personal funds
  7. Failed to deposit client funds in separate client trust account
In on matter, Michael failed to promptly pay $15,000 to the client or her estate that she was lawfully entitled too. When the client demanded a full accounting of the $15,000, Michael failed to provide it to her.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.
 
Michael’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2000
  1. Failed to safeguard client property
  2. Knowingly disobeyed the rules of a trial court
  3. Engaged in the unauthorized practice of law
  4. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness to practice law
  5. Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  6. Misconduct involved multiple offenses
In one matter, Michael was hired to handle a domestic relations matter. Shortly thereafter, the client told Michael his services were no longer needed. The client then requested a refund and Michael agreed to refund $600 of the original $1,000 retainer. However, it took Michael the Loser over one year before he returned the $600 to his client.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
 
Michael’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2008
 
In on matter, Michael was hired to prepare a qualified domestic relations order (QDRO). Michael subsequently submitted a draft of the QDRO to the plan administrator and was told it contained several deficiencies. After resubmitting the QDRO, Michael was again informed that additional changes and modifications needed to be made.
 
Michael the Moron had to resubmit the QDRO two (2) more times before it was accepted by the plan administrator.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a second complimentary censure.
 
As we speak (ca. January 2013) Michael continues to practice in the Globe, Arizona area.
