Attorney Neil Madden of Boston; ethical misfit

The Massachusetts Supreme Court presented Neil Madden with a law license in 1992.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Neil guilty of the following misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Neil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (January 2013) Neil practices with the Madden Law Office at 14 Dorchester Street in Boston, Massachusetts.

Neil was hired to represent a client regarding the sale of property in East Boston. Neil agreed to hold the buyer’s $15,000 deposit in escrow pending the sale of the property. After disbursing $1,900 to his client, the escrow account should have had a balance of $13,100 as the buyer’s deposit.

Over the course of two years, Neil failed to properly manage his trust account. He also failed to maintain required records regarding each deposit and expenditure from said trust account, all of which violated the Rules.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Neil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
