Attorney Allan Freedman of Bryn Mawr, PA; convicted drug dealer

The state of Pennsylvania presented Allan Hyman Freedman law license in 1975.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Scott guilty of the following misconduct.
Allan pleaded guilty to the following felonies:
  • One count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana
  • One count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Two counts of conducting a financial transaction to conceal drug proceeds
  • One count of conducting a financial transaction to promote drug dealing
  • Two counts of filing false federal income tax returns
In addition, Allan stored drugs and cash generated from drug sales at his home; assisted in other money laundering activities, and stored a car that was used to transport drugs.
Subsequently, Allan the Felon was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of supervised probation.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Scott by ordering he be disbarred.
However, several years after his release from prison, the comedians sitting on the Disciplinary Board voted to reinstate Allan’s law license.
As we speak (ca. March 2013) Allan continues to practice in the Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania area, which is 15 miles west of downtown Philadelphia.
It must be comforting to the folks living in Bryn Mawr to know that there is yet another convicted felon practicing law compliments of the buffoons sitting on the Disciplinary Commission.
Warning: Allan does not carry legal malpractice insurance
