Attorney Kathleen Collins of Galveston, TX; ethical misfit

The state of Texas presented Kathleen Ann Collins with a law license in 1992 after she graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

An evidentiary panel of the District 5 Grievance Committee found Kathleen guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Commingled client funds with her personal funds
  2. Failed to keep client funds in separate trust account
In one matter, Kathleen failed to hold funds that were the lawful property of her client separate from funds belonging to Kathleen.

As a consequence of her misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Kathleen by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of her law license. In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t actually mete out any meaningful punishment to Kathleen.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) Kathleen practices at 1004 Broadway Street in Galveston, Texas.
