Attorney Jamie Roberto of Bronx, NY; ethical gremlin

The state of Florida presented Shari Nicole Hines with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from Florida A&M University Law School.

The State Bar of Florida found Jamie guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Improperly provided financial assistance to clients
  2. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  3. Improperly used client to solicit additional business
  4. Engaged in a conflict of interest
Jamie’s misconduct took place during the time he represented two female clients in their criminal cases. Jamie found it acceptable to have sexual relations with his clients during the time he represented them.

Jamie also provided both women with financial assistance. As to one client, Jamie helped her obtain a business-purpose driver’s license and he personally paid the fee for the license. Later, when the client was serving her criminal sentence in the county jail, Jamie made several deposits into her commissary account.

In regards to the second client, Jamie gave her $250 to buy clothes, groceries, and other personal goods. While the client was in the county jail, Jamie deposited $60 into her commissary account.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Jamie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) Jamie practices at 645 Barretto Street in Bronx, New York.
