Attorney Donnie Ellerman of Winnsboro, LA; convicted tax cheat

The state of Louisiana presented Donnie L. Ellerman with a law license in 1968.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Gregory guilty of the following misconduct.

Donnie was found guilty of four (4) counts of willful failure to file income tax returns. Donnie was sentenced to imprisonment for one year, for each of the four counts, with the sentences to run consecutively. The sentence was subsequently suspended upon Donnie’s compliance with the terms of probation that included full restitution of the delinquent income taxes.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Donnie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received several reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Donnie by gifting him with a stayed 2-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Donnie.

As we speak (ca) January 2013) Donnie practices at 204 Fair Avenue in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
