Attorney John Cerza of Bloomfield, NJ; ethical misfit

The state of New Jersey presented John Edward Cerza with a law license in 1996.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found John guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  2. Failed to communicate with clients
  3. Engaged in recordkeeping violations regarding trust accounts
While representing two clients in separate real estate matters, John delayed the satisfaction of tax liens even though he had escrowed funds to pay said liens. John also ignored most of one client’s repeated attempt to communicate with him about the unpaid liens.

As a consequent of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics board punished John by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. December 2012), John practices with the Law Offices of John E. Cerza at 318 Broad Street in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
