Attorney Barry Tumpson of Simpsonville, SC; lying loser

The state of Pennsylvania presented Barry P. Tumpson a law license in 1972. 

 
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Barry guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Made derogatory remarks to a police officer
  2. Neglected client legal matters
  3. Engaged in conduct involving dishonest, fraud and deceit
  4. Represented parties with conflicting interests
  5. Engaged in threatening behavior towards disciplinary investigators
In one matter, Barry engaged in a wrestling match with a deputy sheriff in Beaver, Pennsylvania. During the scuffle Barry removed a loaded .38 caliber revolver from his pocket. The sheriff was able to take the weapon from Barry. Barry was then charged with assault and battery and pointing a firearm Following a criminal trial, Barry was found guilty of simple assault.
 
In a second matter, Barry engaged in various activities wherein he recommended that he be employed by a non-lawyer who had not sought any legal advice from him regarding employing a lawyer.
In a third matter, Barry represented a client in a district court hearing and engaged in a “sham” withdrawal in the case in order to secure a postponement of the hearing.
 
In a fourth matter, Barry filed an application for a license to carry a firearm, which application contained an untrue answer regarding his prior arrests.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Barry by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license. Subsequently, the comedians on the Supreme Court voted to reinstate Barry’s law license.
As we speak (ca. December 2012) Barry practices at 20 Waterthrush Way in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
