Attorney David C. Casey of Boston; convict

The Massachusetts Supreme Court presented David Carlton Casey with a law license in 1979.

The Board of Bar Overseers found David guilty of the following misconduct.

David was convicted of leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

In finding David guilty of misconduct, the Board members said:
  •  “The crime of leaving the scene of a property damage accident connotes at least an indifference to one’s obligations to others whose property has been harmed by one’s negligence, as well as a desire to avoid civil responsibility.”
  • “Where the defendant who has committed such a crime is a lawyer, this type of misconduct evidences a mindset that reflects negatively and directly on his honesty and fitness as a lawyer.”
Clearly the Board members missed their collective calling as standup comedians in making such laughable statements and then giving David a pass on his misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished David by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2012) David practices with Littler Mendelson at One International Place in Boston, Massachusetts.
