Attorney Gregory Wampler of Pineville, LA; convicted felon

The state of Louisiana presented Gregory N. Wampler with a law license in 1979.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Gregory guilty of the following misconduct.

Gregory pleaded guilty to federal charges that consisted of two counts of securities fraud for counterfeiting two certificates of deposit totaling $125,000 and presenting them to his clients as the client’s funds.

Gregory also pled guilty to five (5) counts of state charges for felony unauthorized use of a movable in excess of $1,000, when he misappropriated (stole) funds of five (5) clients totaling $97,500. Gregory was subsequently sentenced to 21-months imprisonment at the federal prison camp located at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Gregory by disbarring him. However, after several years, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court voted to reinstate Gregory the Felon’s law license.

It must be comforting to the folks living in the Alexandria area to know that there is yet another convicted felon practicing law in their area compliments of the buffoons sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca) December 2012) Gregory practices in the Pineville, Louisiana area.
