Attorney Emil Drobac of Milwaukee; convicted thief

The state of Wisconsin presented Emil Drobac with a law license in 1949 after he graduated from the the University of Wisconsin Law School.
The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Emil guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Converted (stole) $40,000 from person he represented as legal guardian
  2. Neglected legal matters regarding five (5) clients
  3. Failed to refund unearned fees (thief)
  4. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigation (Up Yours, said Emil!)
Emil pleaded guilty to a felony charge in regards to his conversion (theft) of client funds and was ordered to pay $54,000 in restitution by the criminal court. Additionally, Emil was sentenced to five years of probation, the first of which was spent in the House of Correction on work release.
It must be quite comforting to the folks in Milwaukee to know that there is yet another convicted felon practicing law in their area compliments of the buffoons sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Apparently, these buffoons concluded as a matter of law that Emil had a right to earn a dishonest living as an attorney.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Emil by revoking his law license.
As usual, the comedians sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court subsequently reinstated David’s law license, thereby providing him with the opportunity to earn a dishonest living as an attorney.
As we speak (ca. December 2012) Emil practices at 2233 North Summit Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
