Attorney James Frisch of Milwaukee; ethical misfit

The state of Wisconsin presented James W. Frisch with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found James guilty of the following misconduct.

While employed by the DA’s office in Milwaukee, James failed to act with diligence and promptness in handling the prosecutions assigned to him and by failing to take all actions reasonably necessary to expedite the litigation of those matters.

James also failed to obey court orders to produce specified items of discovery to defense counsel in three separate matters as the law required him to do.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme
Court punished James by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. .

As we speak (ca. December 2012) James is employed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office at 821 West State Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the Milwaukee area was about to offer James a good paying job; however, this is no excuse for the Milwaukee DA to continue to employ someone of James’ ilk.
