Attorney Shane Stafford of Lake Worth, FL; serial offender

The state of Florida provided Shane Ludwig Stafford with a law license in 1980.

The Florida State Bar found Richard guilty of misconduct on two separate occasions as set forth below.

In one matter, Shane signed Article of Incorporation for “Shane L. Stafford, P.A.” In addition to signing his own name, Shane signed the names of family members, Connie, Courtney, Shaun and Ashley Stafford, which was notarized by his employee Denise Bonomolo.

None of Shane’s family members signed the document, and none of them appeared before Bonomolo. Shane admitted that he signed each and every signature, caused each to be notarized, and then filed the Articles of Incorporation, which included the false signatures and false notarization, with the State of Florida.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Shane by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Leo Koel was employed by Shane as a paralegal from 2004 through 2009. During this period of time, Mr. Koel referred a client to Shane with a medical malpractice claim.

Subsequently, Shane referred the matter to another firm which was successful in obtaining a large reward for the client.

Shane’s firm received a $500,000 referral fee regarding the medical malpractice claim. Shane then gave Mr. Koel a check for $150,000, which he falsely claimed was an investment into Mr. Koel’s design business “Koel Enterprises.” In truth, it represented a 30% finder’s fee payable to Mr. Koel.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Shane by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Shane practices with the Stafford Law Firm at 2290 10th Avenue in Lake Worth, Florida.
