Attorney Lee Johnson of Tempe, AZ; ethical misfit The state of Arizona presented Lee Allen Johnson with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Arizona State University Law School.
The Arizona State Bar found Lee guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
In one matter, a check for $200 was paid on Lee’s trust account when there were insufficient funds to cover the check.
In one matter, Lee was hired in three separate collection matters, one of which involved a mechanic’s lien. The client requested Lee to file a lawsuit in accordance with a specific deadline. Thereafter, the client had great difficulty in communicating with Lee. In addition, Lee did not file the lawsuit within the time frame requested by the client and then failed to respond to any case status inquires from the client. Initially, Lee refused to refund the $200 to his client; however, just prior to the client filing an ethics complaint, Lee paid him the $200 he was not lawfully entitled too.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Lee by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
As we speak (ca. November 2012) Lee practices at 1121 West Warner Road in Tempe, Arizona.
