Attorney Peter Lacy of Holden, MA; ethical misfit
The state of Massachusetts presented Peter Charles Lacy with a law license in 2001.
The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers Peter Jovan guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Peter deposited a $3,000 retainer check into his law firm account. Over the next six week Peter withdrew the $3,000 as earned fees.
During this time Peter’s bookkeeper wrote a check payable to Peter for $3,600 to withdraw his allegedly earned fees for the same client. In doing so, Peter withdrew funds belonging to other clients and thereby created a negative balance in the other client’s accounts.
for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Peter by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we (ca. November 2012) Peter practices with The Law Office of Peter C. Lacy at 19 Salisbury Street in Holden, Massachusetts.
